SEATTLE (AP) - Forecasters say Washington can expect another warm, sunny day or two in a dry start to the month of May, but it's likely to change by Mother's Day.

High temperatures are forecast in the 70s Friday in Western Washington and into the 90s in Eastern Washington before clouds move in Saturday from the coast.

The National Weather Service expects rain Saturday night and showers Sunday dropping the highs to the 60s in Western Washington.

In Eastern Washington, high temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s with a slight chance of thunderstorms or showers on Sunday. Melting snow is filling some Eastern Washington rivers to flood stage.
