CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - A southwest Idaho man who police say had several small explosive devices in his home has been taken into custody.
KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/15vLkhE) that 41-year-old Troy Thomas Hinkle of Caldwell was arrested Thursday evening.
Authorities say Hinkle was wanted in Boise on suspicion of grand theft and burglary, and now faces additional potential charges of unlawful possession of bombs or destructive devices.
Police officers from Boise and Caldwell went to Hinkle's home with a search warrant and Hinkle came out of his home without incident.
Police searched the home and found the devices, evacuated neighboring homes and notified the Nampa Bomb Squad.
The bomb squad removed the devices and the area was cleared about 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Authorities say Hinkle is being held in the Canyon County Jail but will be transferred to Ada County.
