RICHLAND, Wash. -- Two young children, sent to the same orphanage in Haiti, best friends during a difficult transition. One family adopted one boy. Another family later adopted the other boy. Saturday Hanford junior Will Bishop and Shadle Park junior Peter Sokolis will reunite on the soccer field, playing against each other to secure a state playoff berth. They are friends forever, but rivals Saturday.

"I needed a best friend in the orphanage. Peter was that person to be my best friend in the orphanage as well. We've known each other forever now. When he lost to Kennewick I texted him, 'dude why didn't you score?' I was like, 'well may the best team win on Saturday.' So we kept texted each other like oh we're going to win and stuff."

Saturday at 2 p.m. Shadle Park will host Hanford at Joe Albi Stadium.
