100+ nail salons in Washington state fail sanitation and safety inspections

    Thursday, April 26 2018 4:25 PM EDT2018-04-26 20:25:50 GMT

KHQ.COM - More than 100 nail salons in Washington state recently failed safety and sanitation inspections from the Washington State Department of Licensing. If you think these salons are required to post these violations publicly, think again. Unlike restaurants, there's no letter grade at the door that can tell you if the services inside have been deemed safe.

Spokane, Wash. The smell of jet fuel is common when you board a commercial airliner while it's sitting at the gate. When you're actually on the plane, there are a lot of other smells. But did you know that engine oil vapor seeps in too? It does. And it could be dangerous. Flight crews have been complaining about this for years with headaches, memory loss, and tremors. In fact, in January 2017 an American Airlines crew of seven and 89 of its passengers were hospitalized after a fume...

SANDPOINT, Idaho - Over the winter, we first introduced you to a Sandpoint firefighter that would give Steve Prefontaine a run for his money. Gwen Le TuTour was training for the Scott Firefighter Climb in Seattle. He blew away the competition there placing in the top 25 out of thousands of firefighters. Now he’s going to attempt to break a world record. Some may call him crazy, but others consider him an inspiration. Gwen will run 100
