Fever's Strong Ground Game Can't Get Win vs Colorado

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Tuesday the Tri-Cities Fever returned to the Toyota Center, preparing for a rematch against the Colorado Ice. Over the weekend the Fever lost to the Ice 39-35. Still the Fever did many things well despite falling short on the scoreboard. they rushed for a season high 154 yards and only turned the ball over once.

"Most of it was Dante, he had 125 yards rushing, and I thought for sure they'd have a plan to take him away, but they continued to try to take our running back out of the game and allowed Dante to kind of run free," explained Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach.

"You know they were dropping a lot. They were trying to close up every hole, in doing that they left lanes to run, space to run. And you know if you make the first guy miss in this league you've probably added yourself maybe an extra five yards," added Dante Warren, Fever quarterback.
