Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Tuesday the Indoor Football League selected Lionell Singleton as Defensive Player of the Week. The Fever defensive back came up big against Colorado, as the Fever won the game 41-37. Singleton incepted the last pass of the game to seal the win, it was his second of the game, and increased his league high total to nine. Last year Singleton came in second for IFL Defensive Player of the Year, and is making a case for first this year.

"I' do, I think he's leading the league now in interceptions and so that just causes for a really good ending to the season, on his part. So I think he has a good chance at it. You know Lionell he's, he has that knowledge his football IQ is pretty great," said Brandon Wilson, Singleton's teammate for last three years.

"I think I do, I do think I have a shot. Man just some of the things that I have accomplished this year as a player. I do think I have an opportunity, but it's not up to me at the end of the day," added Lionell Singleton.
