SPOKANE, Wash. - Niki Sibley was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease just over a year ago but isn't letting Crohn's limit her. She has chosen to turn her disease into one of the best things that's ever happened to her.

Crohn's disease is an ongoing disorder that chronically inflames the digestive tract causing those who suffer from it to have to use the bathroom frequently. It can be very embarrassing and painful for some, and can restrict people from doing certain activities for fear of always needing to be close to a restroom.

Niki has come up with ways to cope with these symptoms and said that instead of sitting around feeling sorry for herself, she's going to do something positive. She has been running to raise awareness and money for the Crohn's and Colitis foundation.

On June 1st, Niki embarked on her longest run yet. She is running across the state of Washington, about 440 miles, and she plans to do it in just 11 days!!!! She is tracking her progress every day on Facebook and Twitter and everyone should follow her journey; she truly is an inspiration.

Her first two days she put in over 50 miles each day! Who wakes up and says, "Um...I think I'm going to run 2 marathons today?" Niki Sibley does, but she needs your support to keep going.

In a recent video she posted on Facebook she thanked everyone who has been supporting her. She is running by herself and said that getting Tweets and Facebook posts from people cheering her on really helps to keep her going.

You can also follow her on Twitter HERE.

What's the farthest you have ever run? Does Niki inspire you to want to run more?
