Turnovers HUGE in Fever's Near Shutout

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities Fever sent the local crowd home with something to remember. This weekend the Fever shut out the Wyoming Cavalry for most of the game. In the final minute Wyoming scored on a long passing touchdown. A big part of keeping Wyoming off the board was seven turnovers, two fumbles and five interceptions. Also the Fever recorded nine tackles for loss.

"Outstanding effort all around, I thought coach Pratt, my defensive coordinator had a great game plan going in. We stopped their run early and forced them to do, what they've tried to do other times against us, and try to make plays down field. I thought our pass rush was really good, I thought our linebacker play was exceptional," said Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach.

"You know our main thing was to make sure we are in the right place, and just doing our job. Just flying around having fun, and once we fly around and have fun that's when we're capable of making plays," added Rudell Crimm, Fever defensive back.
