Start Of A New Era? (Poll Question)

Updated:

It might have been earlier than expected, but the time has arrived -- Mike Zunino will make his Major League Baseball debut tonight.

The Mariners' No. 3 overall selection in the 2012 MLB draft speeded through the Minors and was recalled on Tuesday.

The Mariners had few other options after injuries to catchers Jesus Montero and Jesus Sucre left Kelly Shoppach behind the plate for the majority of innings the past week. With manager Eric Wedge not willing to use backup Brandon Bantz often, the Mariners called up Zunino.
