Armed Robbery At Rest Stop Near Rosalia; Your Help Is Needed

FROM THE WHITMAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On 06-14-13 at 7:10 am, Whitman County Deputies received a report of an armed robbery at the Horn School Rest Area located at mile post 60 on State Route 195 near Rosalia. While inside the rest area facilities, the victim, Aron M. Taylor, a 35 year old male from Lewiston, Idaho was confronted by an unknown white male holding a handgun.

The suspect male, white, approximately 25 years old, heavyset, dark hair with "scruffy" facial hair, heavy winter jacket and hat, pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. The victim did not have any money. The suspect then took a cellular phone from the victim. The suspect left southbound on State Route 195 in a white, older model, Pontiac car with a cracked front windshield. There were three additional passengers in the suspect vehicle. 

The victim followed the suspect for approximately five miles. The suspect vehicle stopped suddenly, turned around, and began travelling northbound. During the sudden stop, the victim believes he saw someone inside the suspect vehicle strike the front windshield causing a large crack.
