Gonzales Finalist For Two-Way POY

Former Gonzaga left-hander Marco Gonzales is one of three finalists for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year.

The other two finalists are Mike Ford of Princeton and Michael Lorenzen of Cal State Fullerton. The winner will be announced on June 29.

Gonzales finished the season 7-3 with a 2.80 ERA in 106 innings. He played first base when not pitching and hit .313 with two home runs and 26 RBIs. Gonzales was selected 19th overall in the 2013 MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals and will pursue a professional career as a pitcher.
