Power Surge Helps Indians To Third Straight Win

Chris Garia hit a pair of home runs to lead the Spokane Indians to an 8-6 win over the Boise Hawks on Sunday.

Garia led off the bottom of the first inning with the Indians' first homer of the season. He added another solo shot in the second.

Spokane (4-6) scored five runs in the first three innings and led 7-0 after five frames, but Boise (4-6) scored four times in the sixth.

Reliever Sam Wolff (1-0) pitched a 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the win and Justin Sprenger threw a clean ninth for his first save.

The two teams complete the five-game series with a 6:30 p.m. contest on Monday at Avista Stadium.
