YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Investigators believe a 22-year-old Prosser man was killed during an argument over a drug deal.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/1cq7VKd) affidavits filed in the arrest of two suspects from Grandview say Preston Yahne met 24-year-old Robert McCorkingdale on June 14 for a drug transaction at a remote location in Benton County.
McCorkingdale told detectives Yahne pulled a knife during an argument and he took it, stabbed Yahne and then drove over him several times to make sure he was dead.
The car was set afire with Yahne's body in the trunk. His skull was found June 18 by a tow truck driver.
McCorkingdale is jailed for investigation of murder. Investigators say 19-year-old Laura Bancroft was with McCorkingdale.
Yahne had recently returned home after serving in the Air Force.
