SPOKANE, Wash – It was the first Spokane Hoopfest for Jamaal Thomas, and after winning the Slam Dunk Contest it will be one he'll never forget. Thomas outlasted four other high-flyers to win the Slam Dunk Title at Hoopfest.

After the first round of competition, Thomas along with two other competitors tied for first place. The tie forced the first ever three-player championship round in Hoopfest history. In the championship, the other two missed their dunks, opening the door for Thomas. Jamaal finished things off with a powerful windmill that brought roars from the crowd.

Thomas played basketball in Seattle at Garfield High School and continued his basketball career at Lewis Clark State.
