MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for a 1-year-old girl after Missoula authorities say she was found safe in Plains.

The alert was issued Thursday morning after the Missoula County Sheriff's Office said Jasmyne Salter's non-custodial mother, 17-year-old Kailee Marie Salter, removed a window and took the girl.

Jasmyne was in the custody of the state.

Missoula authorities reported later that morning the girl is safe. It is not immediately clear whether an arrest has been made.
