Indians Win Streak Halted At Six

Updated:

The Spokane Indians scored four times in the ninth inning, but fell short in their attempt to win a seventh straight game, dropping a 9-8 contest to the Eugene Emeralds on Saturday.

Kevin Torres had three hits, including a home run and double, for the Indians in the losing effort. Chris Garia added two hits and his team-leading fourth home run.

The Indians were able to pound out 13 hits and were aided by four Emeralds errors. But Eugene collected 15 hits, including six off Spokane starter Kyle Castro, who was stuck with the loss.
