Police Arrest Man and Woman for Stealing Car, Credit Cards
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police say two arrests at Target also led to the recovery of stolen property.
Officers arrested 38-year-old Roger Thompson of Shoreline, Washington and 33-year-old Kerry Jo Turner of Winchester, Tennessee at the Kennewick Target on Sunday.
Police say the two had tried to pay for a shopping cart full of items, but told the clerk they "couldn't remember" the PIN number for the card.
However instead of leaving, officers say the two continued to shop. Police say while officers attempted to verify that the card was stolen, they saw the man dumping credit cards. Police say they determined the man and woman had been trying to use stolen credit cards and identification that actually belonged to a woman in Union Gap.
Officers say upon further investigation, they learned Turner and Thompson arrived in a stolen 1999 BMW out of Seattle, and both had several warrants out for their arrests. Police booked the two for possession of stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and the warrants.
