Ledbetter, Bullpen Pitches Indians To Win

Updated:

The Spokane Indians scored four early runs and then held off the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in a 4-3 win on Wednesday night at Volcanoes Stadium.

The Indians had a balanced offensive attack, as the team's seven hits all came from different players. Four of the hits were doubles.

The Indians grabbed their first lead of the game on a Marcus Greene RBI double in the second inning that gave them a 2-1 advantage.

Spokane added another pair of runs in the third and the pitching staff made the 4-1 lead stand.

David Ledbetter went five innings for the win, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits. Ledbetter also struck out four and walked none. Ryne Slack threw an inning of scoreless relief and Alex De La Cruz went three hitless frames for his first save.
