PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CHELAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Chelan County Sheriff, Brian Burnett reports on July 6, 2013, Deputies responded to a motorcycle injury collision at just past milepost 14 on the Entiat River Road that claimed the life of the operator, 61-year-old Terry Cutright of East Wenatchee.
Cutright was westbound on Entiat River Road with his wife, 53-year-old Velma Cutright seated behind him on the 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle when they were rounding a right hand corner as a deer ran in front of them.
Mr. Cutright attempted to avoid the deer by braking, but was unable to avoid hitting it. Both subjects were thrown from the motorcycle and were transported to Central Washington Hospital prior to Deputy's arrival where Mr. Cutright died of his injuries. Mrs. Cutright sustained minor injuries from the collision.
