Indians Trounced By Volcanoes

Salem-Keizer used a six-run fourth inning to run away from the Spokane Indians in a 9-1 win at Volcanoes Stadium on Thursday.

Indians starter Kelvin Vasquez gave up three runs on just two hits, but he walked seven in three innings. Justin Sprenger allowed three runs on just one hit in relief of Vasquez, but he walked three more batters in just 1/3 of an inning.

The Indians pitching staff walked 13 on the night, leading to nine runs on just nine hits.

Evan Van Hoosier doubled and recorded an RBI in his return to the lineup. Van Hoosier has been out since June 22 with an injury.
