Struggles Continue For Gonzalez In Indians Loss

First-round pick Alex Gonzalez failed to pick up his first professional win after another sub-par start and the Spokane Indians lost 6-2 to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes on Friday night.

Gonzalez lasted just three innings, giving up six hits and four runs. The right-hander did strike out five and only walk one, but his ERA is now 7.24.

Evan Van Hoosier provided two of the Indians six hits, including a home run. Van Hoosier is now hitting .346 this season, although he has been injured for a good portion of it.
