Home Runs Power Mariners To Win

The Seattle Mariners broke out the power in an 8-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night at Safeco Field.

Raul Ibanez hit a pair of home runs to give him a team-high 24, Kyle Seager hit a homer for the second straight game and Kendrys Morales added a solo shot. Ibanez and Morales hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning.

Mike Zunino added three hits and an RBI as part of an 11-hit night for the Mariners.

Joe Saunders went seven scoreless innings for the win to even his record at 8-8. The left-hander gave up just five hits and struck out five.
