UPDATE: 6 People Flee As House Fire Erupts In N. Spokane

UPDATE: Just before 3 Wednesday afternoon emergency crews from the city of Spokane and Fire District 9 responded to reports of a house fire near Normandie and Wedgewood. 

When firefighters arrived they found a home heavily engulfed in flames and smoke. 

Taking an offensive approach firefighters worked for nearly 2 hours to put the fire out that burned completely through the roof of the 2 story home. 

Were told everyone inside the home was able to get out safely. 

Along with the heat inside the home, firefighters worked in shifts to help deal with high temperatures both inside and outside the home. 

Family members we spoke with who were inside the home when the fire broke out believe it started in the kitchen after hearing a breaker pop. 

Three fire investigators responded to the scene along with Red Cross to assist the family. 

The house is reportedly a complete loss.

UPDATE: At least 6 people were inside of the home at the time. Thankfully none of them were hurt. The home is a complete loss. The family believes the fire started in the kitchen. At this hour the official cause is unknown.

UPDATE: On Wednesday afternoon firefighters responded to a house fire  in the area of Wedgewood & Normandie. It's not clear at this hour what started the fire. No injuries have been reported. We're awaiting more details at this hour. Crews remain on the scene as they work to contain the scene.

    LEWISTON, Idaho - Autopsies have been performed on the two women who were found dead in Lewiston on Tuesday. One victim was identified as suspect Richard Allen Carlin's ex-wife, 72-year-old Raetta Dee Carlin. The other woman was identified as 50-year-old Michelle Lynn Carlin, the daughter of Raetta and Richard Carlin.

(AP) - A teenage driver who authorities say crashed his car at an intersection while fleeing police, killing a 3-year-old and injuring four other people faces charges.    Eighteen-year-old Zekhi Lee was charged Wednesday with first-degree manslaughter and evading responsibility in connection with the Tuesday afternoon crash. He's being held on $1.2 million bail.

It happened around 11:45 a.m. Idaho State Police report a white 2017 Freightliner truck towing three box trailers driven by 40-year-old Ricardo T.J. Saenz of Pasco, Washington. was headed eastbound and attempted to change lanes.
