Post-Trial Hearing Set In Chandra Levy Case

WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorneys are returning to court for a hearing in the case of murdered Washington intern Chandra Levy.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys are expected in court Monday for additional post-trial proceeding in the case of Ingmar Guandique, who was convicted of Levy's death and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

They're expected to discuss how much more information can be made public about a key prosecution witness who could be discredited. Defense attorneys have said they intend to request a new trial for Guandique based on the information about the man.

The 2001 disappearance of the 24-year-old became international news after she was romantically linked with then-California Rep. Gary Condit. Her body was found in Washington's Rock Creek Park the next year.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Six-year-old Denny Curran should be enjoying his last few days of summer before first grade. He should be teasing his brother, splashing in the pool, giving his parents a hard time about vegetables. Instead, Denny is dead, the victim of a horrific, freak bicycle accident that could happen to your child too. "Denny was an extraordinary child," his father Keith Curran told KHQ.
