Lightning lit up the sky over the Inland Northwest Friday night and lasted well into Saturday morning. When I got into work Saturday morning, we have over 125 pictures sent in to us through email and Facebook, so naturally, I wanted to compile all of those pictures into one slideshow so we can re-live the magnificent storm all over again!     SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane woman who was run over by a cyclist last month on the Centennial Trail has filed a lawsuit against the man she says didn’t even try to avoid smashing into her. On Sept. 22, 67-year-old Virginia Pearsall was walking near Kendall Yards with her sister when she heard someone behind her yell, “Hot pizza!” "I felt like I got hit by a truck," said Pearsall. "The impact was so great, it was unbelievable."

    TACOMA, Wash. - Washington State Patrol believes faulty brakes and speed contributed to a semi truck crash on the SR 16 interchange with northbound I-5 in Tacoma Tuesday evening.  Troopers say the truck was headed eastbound on SR 16 when it rolled on the rap to northbound I-5.  Trooper Brooke Bova tweeted photos form the scene, including one which showed the truck's brake lines tied together with a plastic grocery bag.  The

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - After a series of threats at Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene, the school district is giving parents the tools necessary to keep up with their kids social media use.  With many instructional YouTube videos on popular apps, Smart Social is used by school districts across the country. Aside from the YouTube videos, the site ranks apps on a color scale: green is good, grey is in the middle, an red means kids should not have it.

Spokane is on the up with more amenities coming every day, and since 2010 Spokane's population has increased 3.1 percent from 209 thousand people to 215 thousand people. City council candidate Matthew Howes said during the pints and politics forum that
