Mariners Ready To Start Nine Game Road Trip

The Seattle Mariners are ready to hit the road for nine consecutive games. After losing six of their last ten games, the Mariners are looking to use Sunday's victory against the Brewers at Safeco field as a momentum generator preceding their upcoming traveling schedule.

The Mariners finished up strong their last home series against Milwaukee thanks to a stellar performance by Felix Hernandez. King Felix shut his opponents down for a 2-0 win going eight strong innings striking out nine batters. A victory well needed by a Seattle team that prior to Sunday's game was outscored by 15 runs against the Brewers.

The Mariners start their nine game road trip Tuesday, August 13th at Tropicana field for a three game series against the Rays. The M's will put Erasmo Ramirez on the mound to face a Tampa Bay team who has only won two of their last nine games.

For the Rays right-handed Chris Archer will take the bump. Archer has a record of 6-4 with a 2.71 ERA.

Game one of a three game series is scheduled for 4:10 PM PT.
