Air1 Finds Missing Hikers Over The Weekend In Liberty Lake Park

On Sunday evening, August 18th, 2013, at about 9:00 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to two missing hikers at Liberty Lake Park. Family members of the 18-year-old female and 17-year-old male said the two of them left to go hiking around 11:30 a.m. and had not returned. Neither one of them had any type of medical condition that may have played a role in their long absence.

Fortunately, both hikers had their cell phones with them. They were able to call 911 and in turn, 911 was able to relay their coordinates to Park Rangers on the ground. Air1 was deployed and with this information, Tactical Flight Officer's located both hikers safe within 25 minutes of takeoff. They were able to guide deputies to the hikers and escort them off the southwest corner of the lake safely.

How many nukes does North Korea really have?

    Friday, August 18 2017 7:51 AM EDT2017-08-18 11:51:27 GMT

WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. assessments of the size of North Korea's nuclear arsenal vary wildly.  Some conclude North Korea has or can make 30 to 60 nuclear weapons. Estimates by civilian experts cloud the picture. They guess North Korea has just a dozen to about 30 weapons. Size matters and not knowing makes it harder to develop a policy for deterrence and for the U.S. to defend itself and allies in the region.
