PHOTOS: Three People Taken To Hospital Following Crash In Downtown CDA

KHQ.COM - Idaho State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in downtown Coeur d'Alene that happened at NW Blvd & River Ave. Tuesday afternoon. 

Police say one car was stopped at the light when it was hit from behind at a very high rate of speed by another car. The first car was pushed into the intersection and hit again. Three people were taken to the hospital, and we are told one of those people is critical condition. 

Idaho State Police say speed appears to be a factor and NW Blvd will be down to one lane until at least 8:00pm. 

As soon as we get any additional information, we will update this story. 

Coeur d'Alene Police Department Press Release: 

Coeur d'Alene City Police officers are on scene of a serious injury accident at North West Blvd. and River Ave. The roadway is blocked. Motorist are asked to avoid the area and take an alternate route. Idaho State Police are investigating the accident. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The collision on SR 291 near mile post 9 is now fatal according to Sacred Heart Hospital.A 17 year old female was driving in a four car sedan that was in the northbound lane going southbound when it struck the motorcycle head on.62 year old Robert White was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet.>>
