Posted: Updated:

KHQ.COM - Idaho State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in downtown Coeur d'Alene that happened at NW Blvd & River Ave. Tuesday afternoon.

Police say one car was stopped at the light when it was hit from behind at a very high rate of speed by another car. The first car was pushed into the intersection and hit again. Three people were taken to the hospital, and we are told one of those people is critical condition.

Idaho State Police say speed appears to be a factor and NW Blvd will be down to one lane until at least 8:00pm.

As soon as we get any additional information, we will update this story.
