RICHLAND, Wash. -- Back to school. Back to football. Our next high school football preview takes us to Bomber field. The most experienced varsity quarterback in the Mid-Columbia Conference this year is Zach Whitby. The Richland Bombers senior enters his third season under center. Gibson McGeorge will again be a popular target. Plus the Bombers have a few other tall receivers for Whitby to air it out.

"We got a lot of guys on the basketball team out for football, which makes us more athletic. I think we have of the five starters on the basketball team last winter, we got four of them playing football right now, so that makes us better," Richland head coach Mike Neidhold said.

"I'm really confident this year, having years before of starting, having the chance to. I'm really excited and I know I've played this game 100 times before and I should be just used to it now, which I am, and I'm very confident when I play this game," Whitby added.
