Spokane Chiefs Trim Roster

SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane Chiefs have announced that their 2013 Preseason roster has been trimmed to 36 players in preparation for their first preseason game on Friday in Everett. Over the weekend, the Chiefs will compete in the Everett Silvertips Holiday Inn Preseason Classic at Comcast Arena, playing Portland on Friday, Everett on Saturday and Seattle on Sunday.

The reduced roster includes 4 goaltenders, 18 forwards and 14 defensemen. Three 15-year-olds remain in camp, including D Jeff Faith (1st Round, 16th Overall), D Jake Toporowski (3rd Round, 62nd Overall) and LW Taylor Ross (4th Round, 82nd Overall). Veterans Mitch Holmberg, Mike Aviani, Eric Williams, and Cole Wedman will not travel to Everett.

Friday, August 30 - Spokane vs. Portland - 3:00 p.m. (Everett, WA)
Saturday, August 31 - Spokane vs. Everett - 7:00 p.m. (Everett, WA)
Sunday, September 1 - Spokane vs. Seattle - 3:00 p.m. (Everett, WA)
Friday, September 6 - Spokane vs. Kootenay - 3:00 p.m. (Kennewick, WA)
Saturday, September 7 - Spokane vs. Tri-City - 7:05 p.m. (Kennewick, WA)
Wednesday, September 11 - Spokane vs. Tri-City - 7:05 p.m. (Cheney, WA)
Saturday, September 14 - Spokane vs. Tri-City - 7:05 p.m. (Kennewick, WA)

Tickets are on sale now for the Chiefs home preseason game in Cheney on September 11. Preseason tickets are $8 and are available through the Spokane Chiefs Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK, or at the EWU URC. Seating is General Admission, parking is free at EWU and a campus map can be found here.
