ALERT: Ford Recalls Hundreds Of Thousands Of Cars

NEW YORK (AP) - Ford is recalling 370,000 cars due to potential corrosion to their steering shaft that may result in loss of steering.
    
No incidents or injuries have been reported.
    
The cars include 2005 to 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Cars. About 355,000 are in the U.S. and 15,000 in Canada.
    
Dealers will inspect the cars and may replace the lower intermediate steering shaft and if necessary resecure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft.
    
States included in the recall are: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
    
Owners in other states can also ask for inspections and repairs.

    DEER PARK, Wash. - The Sevens County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help in identifying the suspects and a vehicle in a recent home invasion robbery. Deputies report that on February 12 around 6:45, they responded to a report of a robbery that took place on McKenzie Woolard Rd. in the Deer Park area. Two men and a women forced their way into the victim's home at gunpoint, tied the victim up, and stole numerous items including guns and the victim's debit card.

    HARDIN, Mont. (AP) - Montana school district officials have fired an art teacher accused of hiding a gun for one of her students. The Billings Gazette reports that the Hardin Public Schools Board on Wednesday unanimously voted to fire Nora Block, who taught at Hardin High School. Block has been charged with felony tampering with evidence and two misdemeanors. She is accused of hiding the gun in her classroom overnight, turning it over to authorities the next day.

The homicide victim, Robert James McDonald Jr of Richland, was 40 years old on Feb. 25, 1986, when visitors to the park saw a body floating
