Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Highway 395

The Benton County Sheriff's Office confirms a Cessna 182 made a successful emergency landing on Highway 395 near Eltopia.


The pilot lost his engine but was able to land in traffic in the westbound lanes in between a semi and another vehicle.
 
There were no injuries and only the pilot and tech were only on board. The cause is currently under investigation. It will take a couple hours before the plane is removed from the road. 
 
NTSB and FAA are both investigating and WSP and county sheriff are on scene directing traffic.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The man killed in an early morning crash on Friday has been identified as 34-year-old, Alejandro E. Apodaca. Just before 12:30, Apodaca crashed his car on S. Bowdish Rd. He was traveling South on Bowdish near 17th when he lost control of his car, uprooting a tree in the front yard of a home.
