Police Searching For Suspect In Early Morning Drive By Shooting In Coeur d'Alene

KHQ.COM - Early Monday morning just after midnight, a drive-by shooting occurred in Coeur d'Alene. Authorities checked in with all residents in that area and everyone was found to be fine. No injuries were reported but police are looking for the suspect who they believe was driving a dark red or maroon 4-door Toyota Corolla, most likely a 1990's model.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex at 3016 N. Government Way. Bullet marks were found on the sidewalk just East of the apartment building and lodged in trees nearby.

There were several witnesses. They described seeing a car pull North bound on Second Street and then turn around on Second Street before firing about ten shots. No one got a description of the actual suspect.

Authorities aren't sure if this was a random act.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the tip line at 208-769-2320.
