PRESS RELEASE FROM SPOKANE VALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Thursday morning, September 26th, at 8:22 a.m., a citizen called 911 to report that there was a female lying in a field west of the footbridge at 4th and Custer.

Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies responded and located a deceased female in the field. Any time there is an unattended death, the Sheriff's Office treats the investigation as a homicide until proven otherwise.

Currently, Sheriff's Office Major Crimes detectives and Forensic personnel are on scene investigating and documenting the scene.  Once the scene is processed, the body will be released to the Medical Examiner's Office who will perform an autopsy and provide identity, manner and cause of death at a later time.

It is anticipated the investigation will take the majority of the day and roads will remain closed in the immediate area until all units are clear. If anyone saw anything suspicious the morning of the 26th or the evening of the 25th in that area you are urged to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Location, location, location.  You may have seen a post making its way around social media of a house listing in Seattle for nearly $450,000. That sounds about right for the area, right? Well this house is a bit of a fixer upper. The kind with lots of potential if you invest the time and money.  Currently, however, it is shown on the real estate site Redfin in less than perfect condition.
