Obama To Meet With Top Republicans

WASHINGTON (AP) - Some 20 top Republicans will meet with President Barack Obama at the White House today to try to reach some kind of agreement on ending the partial government shutdown and raising the debt ceiling.

Obama had invited the entire House GOP, but Speaker John Boehner opted for a smaller group.

The White House accused Boehner of trying to exclude tea party Republicans.
