The Accused Suspect Of A Breaking Bad-Type Murder Faces New Charges

SPOKANE, Wash. - On Thursday afternoon 27-year-old Jason M. Hart was set for a preliminary hearing on 2nd degree murder charges and possession of a controlled substance. However Judge Maryann Moreno motioned to push back the hearing.

On September 27th Hart was also charged with a misdemeanor, tampering with evidence. Prosecutors say he will be tried on all three charges.

The Spokane County and Spokane City SWAT team arrested Hart in June. They believe he killed a woman in Nine Mile Falls. The victim was 33-year old Regan Jolley.

Detectives believe Hart killed Jolley by strangling her and trying to dispose of her body in a tub of acid, much like a character in the television show Breaking Bad tried to do. Hart has pled not guilty to the murder of Jolley.
