Avondre Graham Gets 10 Years Behind Bars For 'Random Murder'

SPOKANE, Wash. - On Thursday morning, October 31st, Avondre Graham pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in the death of 55-year-old Sharlotte McGill.

McGill was stabbed to death in May 2012 outside of her east Spokane apartment complex. With her dying breath she described her killer as black, with a bad eye.

Graham was arrested four months later, when he attacked another woman along the Centennial Trail. Graham will serve a little more than 10 years in prison.

Crews say by estimation the fire size tripled overnight to around 3,000 acres. Two residences and numerous outbuildings have been reported lost. In Sunday morning's update from the Incident Management Team, the fire has been listed as minimally contained at two percent.

Crews say the fire quickly escalated Saturday as a result of extremely dry conditions coupled with winds. Firefighters battled tall, fast-moving flame fronts and at one point they say it was 12 miles wide.

Residents in the county area of Sealsprings, 47th and Oak to Gamefarm Rd are still under a Level 1 Evacuation. State fire assistance has been mobilized in support of local crews. There have been no reports of containment.

    SUTTER COUNTY, Calif. - A deadly crash involving an RV and a semi-trailer on Highway 99 Saturday afternoon in Sutter County blocked both the northbound and southbound lanes. According to KCRA, a man driving the RV towing a minivan made a U-turn on the northbound lanes of Highway 99, the California Highway Patrol said. The man thought the road was clear and did not see the semi-trailer strike his vehicle around 2:15 p.m.
