WSP Patrol Car Involved In Crash Near Loon Lake

The Washington State Patrol has responded to a two car collision on Highway 395 one mile south of Loon Lake at Larsen Beach.The roadway is totally blocked.

We are told a WSP patrol car is one of the vehicles involved and an ambulance has been requested for a passenger in the other car. No word on the extent of injuries to that passenger.

The Trooper may have some minor injuries.

The road is blocked and detours are in place. 

As soon as we get any additional information we will update this story.

    RATHDRUM, Idaho -  Idaho State Police have identified the man killed in a crash near Rathdrum Tuesday. Troopers responded to Chase Road, west of Rathdrum, around 1:15 p.m. Investigators say 20-year-old Brady Robert McPhail of Osburn, Idaho, was traveling eastbound in a white 2010 Buick Lucerne when he went into the westbound lane of traffic.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Update: Spokane Police Department SWAT Team officers took a homicide suspect into custody following an afternoon shooting in downtown Spokane. That suspect was identified as 27-year-old Joel C. Taitch. He was found blocks away from the crime scene and booked for 2nd degree murder.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Washington State Patrol reports one man has died and a woman is in the hospital after a crash at Trent and Barker in Spokane Valley Tuesday night. Investigators say 26-year-old John L. Scott of Lancaster, Pennsylvania,  was headed westbound on SR 290 east of Flora in a 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup when he crossed the center line into the oncoming lanes of traffic.

    A baby born near the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Michael spent his first night outside a hospital in a Walmart parking lot because no better shelter was available.  Wilmer Capps says he and wife Lorrainda Smith had no choice but to camp out at the store the night their son Luke was released from an Alabama hospital because their home in Panama City, Florida, was badly damaged by the storm.
