Holmberg Hero in OT: Chiefs win 5-4 in Medicine Hat

The Spokane Chiefs rallied from a 4-3 deficit in the 3rd period to force overtime and earn the 5-4 win. 

Mitch Holmberg scored his league leading 19th goal at the 1:58 mark in the overtime period, he also added two assists, and helped boost the Chiefs to second place tie with Everett in the U.S. Division. 

Mike Aviani scored two goals, his 16th and 17th of the season, good enough to be second in the WHL in goals. It was Adam Helewka who scored the game-tying goal in the 3rd on a power play to give the Chiefs a chance in OT. 

Spokane will stay on the road and play Lethbridge on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 6:00 p.m. PT. The Hurricanes are in last place in the Central Division.
