Crossover Double Header Live On SWX On Friday

Brett Rypien is looking to lead Shadle Park deep into the playoffs. Brett Rypien is looking to lead Shadle Park deep into the playoffs.
SWX will offer live coverage of Friday night playoff football action from Albi Stadium on Friday starting at 5:00 p.m.

Ferris will host Richland in the early game, while Shadle Park will square off with Kennewick in the later one. Both Ferris and Shadle are co-champions of the Greater Spokane League.

The Saxons finished their season 8-1 with a 21-20 win over Mead on Halloween, Ferris needed a blocked kick on the point-after attempt to secure the win and the number one GSL 4A berth. The Saxons will rely on Cole Karstetter's ground and pound, the senior running back finished 1,442 yards rushing to lead the GSL. Karstetter's counter part, Jalen Hicks, finished with 916 rushing yards, good enough for third best in the league.

Here is this weeks pick six information on the Ferris game from Sam Adams and Greg Lee, the full article can be found at

Lee: Ferris 28-21. Richland is legit. Ferris got all it could handle in a postseason tuneup against Mead. I’ve been tracking this for a while and the Saxons’ offense is very much run heavy. The passing game hasn’t developed like I thought it would. The Saxons could win comfortably if they find some consistency in the air. Otherwise, they’ll have to gut it out.

Adams: Ferris 28-17. Richland throws the ball well. Ferris defends it even better. The Saxons had a stellar game plan against the top passer in the Northwest – Brett Rypien and company – and they should do the same against the Bombers.

Shadle Park also finished its season 8-1 and earned the number one 3A berth from the GSL. The Highlanders are led by prep phenom Brett Rypien at quarterback, the junior finished his regular season with 3,226 yards while completing 67.6-percent of his passes. Shadle Park's receiving corps hosted five of the Top-8 in receiving yards in the GSL. The only team to beat the Highlanders this season was Ferris.

Both games will be live on channel 6-2 or Comcast channel 306, also live streaming will be available on
