Whitworth Hosts PLU In Home Finale

Whitworth will host Pacific Lutheran University in the Pirates final regular season home game on Saturday. 

Whitworth (3-5, 1-3 Northwest Conference) will face a tough test as the Lutes (7-1, 4-1) are currently second in conference play, trailing Linfield by only half a game. 

The Pirates did win their last contest on Oct. 26, 33-14, at Puget Sound. DJ Tripoli ran for 90 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, while Bryan Peterson threw for 284 yards and a score. 

PLU defeated Puget Sound last weekend, 41-21. The Lutes are led by the rushing attack of Niko Madison and quarterback Ritchey Dalton, combined the duo have 1,274 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. 

Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on SWX channel 6-2 and Comcast channel 306.
