UPDATE: Victims In Stable Condition And Suspect Arrested After Truck Crashes Through Coeur D'Alene Home

Coeur d'Alene Police arrested 27-year-old Thomas Scott Heinbaugh after he allegedly crashed his pickup through this house in Coeur d'Alene Coeur d'Alene Police arrested 27-year-old Thomas Scott Heinbaugh after he allegedly crashed his pickup through this house in Coeur d'Alene

Three victims are in stable condition and one man is under arrest after a Ford truck crashed through a Coeur D'Alene home Thursday night.

Jeff Groat, 35, sat in his living room with his girlfriend, 30-year-old Shelli Bloom, and Bloom's 10-year-old daughter, Lyra. At approximately 6:15 Thursday evening a Ford F250 crashed through the side of the house, pinning the adults.

Coeur D'Alene Police arrested Thomas Scott Heinbaugh within hours of the incident. According to the police, the 27-year-old is being charged with aggravated DUI and felony leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Bill Wilcott lives a few doors down from Groat, and came outside after he heard the truck roar by and then crash through the home.

"I saw a guy in blue jeans a tee shirt kind of running and staggering," Wilcott said. "You could see he was just in shock. I tried to stop him but I looked up here and thought it would be more important to get up here so I ran up here and went inside."

Lyra Bloom suffered minor hip bruising, according to a friend of her mother's. Wilcott and a couple other neighbors managed to remove Groat from under the axel rod of the car.

Sherri Bloom suffered the worst injuries, as the truck carried her through the back of the house. This morning, a small trail of blood could be seen in the spot she was pinned. Bloom was in stable condition as of this morning but remained in the ICU.

Friends and family also told me the victims are concerned about Groat's dog, who ran away at some point during the incident. Burke is a mini Great Dane, roughly 50 pounds in weight. If you find him, you are asked to please call local animal control.
