Woman Killed On Highway 195 Saturday Morning

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -

The name of the driver has been identified. Officials say 21 year old Braden Bundy of Spokane fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in his car going off the road and hitting a tree. His passenger, Kelsey Heidecker also of Spokane, was killed.  Charges may be pending in the case.

Tow trucks are now on scene of a fatal accident that happened on Highway 195 early Saturday morning.  A semi-truck was driving northbound when it crashed into two trees on the side of the highway.  The male driver sustained minor injuries.  His female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.  The cause of the wreck is under investigation.  Officials do not believe weather was a factor in this incident. 
Both lanes were closed for 30 minutes  immediately following crash because trees blocked the entire highway.

According to WSP,  a woman was killed after a semi truck crashed into a tree this morning, sending the tree onto Highway 195. 
It happened around 7a.m.on US 195 northbound from Milepost 83, Smythe Road to Milepost 85 near Stuttler road, 4 miles north of Spangle.  Authorities say emergency crews were called to extricate the woman who was a passenger in the semi-truck.WSP confirms the woman is deceased.  Officials say that trees are currently blocking one lane on the  roadway. A tow truck is in route.  Reporter Lindsay Nadrich is heading to the scene. We'll continue to update you as information becomes available.

Legasa says in the post: "My hunting partner Greg Gibson and I surprised a Sow grizzly and her cub as we were moving in on some Elk. We walked up to with in 12 yards when we all saw each other And before I could even reach for my bear spray she was at full charge.

    COLFAX, Wash. (AP) - A woman accused of fatally shooting a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, man in Colfax, Washington, has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity. The Spokesman-Review reports Ashley Myers entered the plea to second-degree murder Friday in Whitman County Superior Court.    Insanity pleas allow for the defense to argue for a potential commitment to a psychiatric facility instead of prison.

    WASHINGTON (AP) - A federal judge has dismissed porn actress Stormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump. U.S. District Judge S. James Otero issued the order Monday in Los Angeles. Daniels alleges she had an affair with Trump in 2006 and sued him in April. The lawsuit came after Trump tweeted about a composite sketch of a man Daniels says threatened her in 2011 to keep quiet about an alleged affair.
