Cops Tase Dad Trying To Save Son From Fiery Home

Posted: Updated:
Missouri - A three-year-old boy was killed when his house went up in flames earlier this week.

Now officials in Missouri are taking a long look after the boy's father was tased to keep him from going into his home to rescue his son. Officials say the three- year old boy died when flames trapped him in his room around one this morning. His parents managed to escape through the back door, but not before trying to get their son. Officials say the smoke was too overwhelming, so the boy's father, who was barefoot and dressed in pajamas, tried to get back in through
the front even though firefighters told him it was too dangerous.

The boy's father tried to kick in the back door but was restrained by authorities who were trying to prevent another fatality. Officials eventually tased the man to keep him from fighting his way back into the fiery home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say signs point toward an electrical mishap.
