Life Center Church Holds First Sunday Service Since Damage

SPOKANE, Wash. -

SPOKANE, Wash. - Sitting in the sanctuary at Life Center Church Sunday morning, you would have no idea that just a few short days ago it looked much different.

This week, dozens of volunteers cleaned up thousands of dollars in damage caused by a car that drove through the outside wall, across the stage and into the pews.

“We've had so many volunteers pitch in time, money, and effort, and people rounding up supplies, and cook us meals,” said Life Center’s Technical Director Eric Bradley. “It has been a good week, we have been able to put everything mostly back together.”

After hours of work to completely rebuild the stage and temporarily patch up the outside wall, Sunday services continued as planned.

However, with the damage taken care of, the question of why it happened is still unanswered. Spokane Police have spoken to the owner of the car, but no arrests have been made at this time.

During the service, the congregation took time to pray for the man who caused the destruction and they want him to know, they are here to help.

“They are forgiven,” Bradley said. “This is just stuff, it's not that big a deal. A person’s life is just so much more important, so we want to do whatever we can to help them.”

KHQ.COM - More than 100 nail salons in Washington state recently failed safety and sanitation inspections from the Washington State Department of Licensing. If you think these salons are required to post these violations publicly, think again. Unlike restaurants, there's no letter grade at the door that can tell you if the services inside have been deemed safe.
