Walgreens Robbery: Armed Suspect On The Loose After Obtaining Large Amount Of Drugs

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Wednesday morning just after midnight, a man walked into the Walgreens at Empire and Division, pulled out a knife and demanded oxycodone and fentanyl patches. After obtaining the drugs, customers inside chased the man out of the store.

The customers were unable to catch him but while they were chasing him, the robber dropped a box of the fentanyl patches. When police arrived, they tried to use a K9 unit to track the suspect but were unsuccessful. They believe he got away with a large amount of drugs.

Authorities analyzed surveillance footage and describe the suspect as a thin, white guy, about 5' 7" with longer brown curly hair, a scruffy beard, black t-shirt, black zip-up and black shoes.

If you have any information about this, call crime check at 509-456-2233.

Police also want to make it clear that they don't recommend anyone ever try and chase down a suspect, especially if they have a weapon.
