Friday: The winter storm we've been previewing all week finally arrives. Models have warmed temperatures up a little bit thanks to some strong SW winds by this afternoon. That means most of the precip that falls today will be rain & non-accumulating rain/snow mix. High: 41° (Yellow)

Friday Night: After the front has a chance to move through, cooler air by the early morning hours could mean some light accumulation. Especially in our N. Panhandle valleys. Around CdA, Hayden, Worley could end up with 1-3" of snow through the morning. Around Spokane mostly expecting rain/snow mix with very light accumulations possible.Low: 36° (Yellow)

Saturday: Saturday morning will be the best window of opportunity to see some snow sticking to the ground, especially around Cda. Could get between 1-3" of snow there Saturday morning. Some light snow possible around Spokane, but no major accumulations as temperatures rise into the upper 30s. Of course, areas like the South Hill, have a better chance at seeing some sticking snow. High: 38° (Yellow)

Of course with this major weather moving in there are a multitude of watches and warnings in place. Winter Storm Warnings for the northern and central panhandle. Over a foot of snow expected for most of the regions mountains. If you're planning on traveling over the Cascades, try and avoid Friday afternoon, which looks to be the heaviest period of snow there.
