Winston And #2 Florida State Rout Vandals 80-14

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Taylor Davis was intercepted three times as the Idaho Vandals lost to second-ranked Florida State on Saturday, 80-14.  The loss drops Idaho to 1-10 on the season.

The Vandals entered the ballgame as 57-point underdogs, and the route was on when the Seminoles stormed out to a 21-0 first quarter lead.  The Vandals finally got on the score board with :41 seconds remaining in the second quarter on a Richard Montgomery 15 yard touchdown reception from Davis, but Idaho trailed 42-7 at the half.

The Vandals got their second and final touchdown with :42 left in the ballgame when backup quarterback Joshua McCain dialed up Najee Lovett on a 14-yard touchdown pass.  Embattled quarterback Jameis Winston, under investigation for alleged sexual assault, solidified his Heisman Trophy candidacy by passing for 225 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions.

Idaho will close out the 2013 season November 30th at New Mexico State.
