TCU downs Washington State 64-62

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Amric Fields scored 16 points and blocked a last-second shot Sunday and TCU beat Washington State 64-62.

Fields, playing in his first game after missing all of last season with an injury, went 7 for 9 from the field and connected on two 3-pointers for TCU (2-2).

Trailing by 13 in the first half, Washington State (2-2) chipped away at the TCU lead. DaVonte Lacy hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds remaining in the game to tie it at 62.

With five seconds on the clock, Kyan Anderson drove the lane and was fouled, then made both shots from the line to put the Horned Frogs up by two with five seconds remaining. Lacy tried a layup, but Fields blocked the shot as time expired.

Lacy scored 18 points for the Cougars, including five 3-pointers.

Anderson had 16 for TCU, and was 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.
