Moos: No Bowl For You

Cougar fans are anxiously awaiting a WSU bowl game though some wont be invited to come. Cougar fans are anxiously awaiting a WSU bowl game though some wont be invited to come.
Washington State University Athletic Director, Bill Moos, has come out and taken a stance against all of the naysayers bashing his program and his coaches.

While freedom of speech is something we can all appreciate, Moos doesn't appreciate the "nasty" messages some Cougar fans have sent him over the past few years. So Moos has created what he calls the NBT file, the "no bowl ticket" file.

Former WSU beat-writer for the Spokesman-Review and current University of Washington beat-writer for the Tacoma News Tribune, Christian Caple, reported Moos' comments on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

“I answer all of those emails, then I send them to the Cougar Athletic Fund to see what their gift history is, and what their ticket purchase history is,” Moos said via telephone Monday as he drove back to Pullman from his ranch outside of Spokane. “Pretty amazing — about 85-90 percent of them are not members of the CAF.”

Moos isn't messing around, later saying that those fans who don't want to get on board with the direction the Cougars are headed, "the train has already pulled out of the station."

While the Cougars at 6-5 are bowl eligible for the first time since 2006, a win over Washington in the Apple Cup could help them secure a Pac-12 affiliated bowl game. Even if they don't though, Moos believes there is a game awaiting WSU over the holidays.

Is there any leniency for those who have made the NBT file?

“We’ve got to sell bowl tickets, so I may give it a second consideration,” Moos said. “But there’s a couple that aren’t going to get them. I can guarantee you that.”
